Why RUST & PAINT COATING are not covered under warranty

Warranties generally do not cover surface rust, fading, or damage caused by accidents, improper care, environmental factors like pollution, or impacts from foreign objects.

The customers should maintain your Ozroofracks product/s by inspecting for rust and cleaning it to prevent structural issues. Ozroofracks label the products/boxes give instructions and provide accurate information about materials used for each product.

Our warranty does not cover surface or non-structural rust as this is considered normal wear and tear, especially if it's from weather exposure. While the products are powder coated, depending on material surface rust at joints may still occur and is not covered.

Paint flakes off of rusted metal because the paint lacks a proper grip on the surface. Rust creates a rough, uneven texture that prevents paint from adhering directly to the metal, so the paint is only resting on top of the rust and will flake off over time. To prevent flaking, all loose rust must be completely removed, the surface must be properly prepped, and a rust-inhibiting primer should be applied before repainting.

  • Rust: Surface or non-structural rust is specifically excluded, as it's considered normal wear and tear resulting from weather or age.
  • Weather damage: Damage from wind, rain, and other weather conditions is not covered.
  • Normal wear and tear: This includes damage from normal use, UV deterioration, and spring stretching.
  • Improper care: Damage from insufficient maintenance, improper installation, or using non-Vuly parts is not covered.

How to care for your product/s to prevent rust

  • Inspect regularly: Ozroofracks recommends inspecting the products for rust every 2-3 months depending on environment.
  • Clean surface rust: Use general-purpose grease on joints or a rust-specific cleaning agent to remove any surface rust you find.
  • Avoid harsh products: Do not use harsh products or steel wool, as these can damage the coating.
